Secret Company

The four lads from Chelmsford are determined, spirited and ready to take on the world.

James, Scott, Kushal and Tim formed in 2011 when Scott and James began writing songs in James' back garden shed.

“We are on a mission” says guitarist James. “We want our music to be heard. We are highly ambitious and are striving for the heights.”

The beautiful ‘Saviour’ is Secret Company’s debut single. A song that’s driven by soaring anthemic vocals which capture the yearning and striving in the soul of this band. Skittering drums and shimmering synths give the song a magical feel.

Spring Offensive

Their debut album ‘Young Animal Hearts’ isn’t the sound of a new band with potential still fumbling around trying to find their style - it’s a record that announces them as one of the UK’s finest new bands. Live, there’s an energy, creativity and conviction mixed with a style wholly their own, all led by the towering charismatic figure of frontman Lucas Whitworth.

Bassist Chris Chadwick turns his hand at more wordy and business ventures, by managing new acts and producers, editing independent magazines and writing about new music.

Singer, Lucas Whitworth, (brothers Lucas and Theo were part raised in Argentina) works occasionally on translating foreign cinema and turns his flair for film to the bands advantage, directing the bands last three music videos alongside Matt, whose degree is Theatre & Performance Studies is clear through the band's videos, minuscule in budget but oh-so grand in scale.

Rale

London four piece Rale are brought together under the principles of equal misery, compiling a healthy loathing of every other member’s influences – post punk, trip hop, dance and whatever your girlfriend wants you to like that week.

The eclectic mix ensures their sound is a true melting pot of banal, ill-conceived nonsense that provides a uniformly unpleasant experience for band members and fans alike.

Seaside Heights

Mixing slick melodies, multifarious lyrics, arena rock and Brooklyn indie, Seaside Heights started out in the summer of 2012, with a unique combination of melancholy and optimism.

Their debut single, "Turnover", was voted best unsigned act by Swedish national radio P3 listeners five weeks in a row and got playlisted (for those interested, it’s the Swedish equivalent of Radio 1)

For fans of The National, Interpol and Tiger Lou, the band mediates a big pathos that’s hard to harness.

Damon Valentine

Damon has shared stages with Elbow, Paolo Nutini, Laura Marling and The Staves.

Comparisons to Ryan Adams, Ed Sheeran, Damien Rice and Elliot Smith have earned Damon a reputation as a gifted, mature songwriter and compelling live act. In late 2013 he teamed up with London label Young & Lost Club (Noah & The Whale) to complete a packed out three-month residency at the renowned Lock Tavern in Camden.

His debut EP, “You Will Get It Right” is available at damonvalentine.com

With live dates throughout the UK, and a second EP release on the horizon, the coming months look set to be extremely busy for this modern-day troubadour.

ADA

One of the most promising new bands in London at the moment. Powerful modern genre-benders ADA play excitable, beautiful songs with an ecstatic pulse. Purveyors of electronic dance pop with shades of PJ Harvey and Radiohead, ADA's Oli Bayston produced debut single is receiving heavy rotation amongst those in the know.
